Obviously, we think we're pretty great at what we do - and thankfully lots of you seem to agree. Thanks for all your support and for spreading the word.
It's all about Bain's pies.
One, long-time fan is stand-up comedian Carly Smallman (www.carlysmallman.com), whose review in Secret Edinburgh, A Comedians' Guide to the City, went down a treat with us. Over 170 comedy acts submitted their recommendations for the best places to eat, drink, shop and hang-out in Edinburgh, and Carly chose to extol the virtues of a Bain's pie.
"Do you like pies? Do you like delicious pies? Do you like places that are nowhere near the tourist trail, but feature the best pies you'll ever encounter?
"If the answer to these questions is 'yes' (or you are currently eating a sub-standard pie) then I simply have to recommend to you one of the greatest hidden gems in the whole of Edinburgh.
"If you take the number 22 bus out of town you will end up at my Granny's flat in Stenhouse Cross. My Granny is awesome, but not as awesome as the pies that can be found in Bain's the Butchers, the shop underneath her house. It's a bit of a journey from the city centre, but well worth it.
"People queue round the block when the butchers opens because the pies are that good. Did I mention that I love pies? Forget the castle. Forget Holyrood Palace. Forget Arthur's Seat. It's all about Bain's pies."
Thanks Carly, we think so too.
